Certificates that cloud services use to prove their level of security are becoming increasingly important. SecureCloud has now achieved the gold standard with BSI C5.

SecureCloud is generally recognised as a particularly secure cloud provider. By receiving the BSI C5 certificate, we have now received official and independent confirmation of the high level of security of our company and our services. The auditing company we commissioned to audit us in accordance with the german BSI C5 standard checked all applicable BSI C5 criteria, all of which were met without any restrictions.

As part of the audit, not only were all the security measures implemented in our business processes reviewed, but also the entire information security management system (ISMS), which comes into effect in the event of an incident and external security-related influences such as natural disasters, power failures or fires.

Taking all test aspects into account, we were certified as having a defined high level of safety, which is demonstrably expressed in the C5 test certificate.

The C5 certificate

The BSI C5 certificate is only awarded if a catalogue of criteria developed by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is fully met by the company being audited. For many customers of cloud providers in Germany, the C5 certificate is therefore an important proof of the expertise of the respective service provider.

Public sector organisations in Germany and healthcare institutions are also legally obliged to only consider providers that can provide evidence of a valid C5 certificate when awarding cloud services of any kind.

More certifications

In other European countries, but also overseas, ISO/IEC 27001 certification has been established for years as proof of the highest possible level of security. It deviates in part from the requirements of the German BSI C5 certificate.

SecureCloud takes these requirements into account and is therefore naturally also certified according to the current ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard. For internationally active customers, it should also be noted that the BSI C5 requirements are largely comparable with the SOC 2 test standards.

Reliable through safety

These independently awarded certifications and test certificates not only prove the high level of security of our services, but also create the necessary trust that is generally indispensable when using public cloud services.

As the certificates and attestations lose their validity after defined periods of time and therefore have to be renewed at regular intervals, our customers are always guaranteed to be offered the latest technical security standard. You can therefore rely on SecureCloud - regardless of whether you are a customer from Germany or abroad!
